Generation Y – The Millennial Generation



The Millennial Generation is also known as Generation Y that follows Generation X. The people of this generation were born in the early 21st century. They are better educated and well versed in the age of technologies. The people from this generation are more family oriented and children focused than the previous generation individuals. The priorities, expectations, dreams, and aspirations of a millennial is quite different from previous generation individuals. The growth of a millennial is through rapid change in the era of technologically advanced modern lifestyle, globalization, economical disruptions, high-end digital devices, increase in social media dependency, need specifications, the importance of education and working environment, etc.

Largest Generation

The Millennial Generation is considered the largest generation as there is hundred million immigrants in this generation. The young immigrants are more in ranks and increasing with time. The youngest millennial was said to be born in 1996. There is an estimated peak in population of millennials by late 2050s. The youth millennial are revolutionized with rapid growth and modification in the societal behaviors. They are also termed as a large cohort as they have surpassed the number of population of previous generations. The majority in number are amongst  the age group range of 25 years to 35 years.
